The Service Year

The Service Year
The Service operates a school calendar for 195 days per year including five staff development days. Provision follows school term times, however some teaching is provided in the holiday period in specific cases. Term dates are in line with those set down by the Local Authority.

5 Training Days - 2016-17

Monday 5th September 2016 – Training day – Keeping Children safe in Education (KCSIE), Data management (handling secure information) and Triads (feedback from peer observations)

Tuesday 6th September 2016 - Training day - Pupil assessment and progress

Friday 2nd December 2016 – Training day - Pupil progress and target setting

Wednesday 11th January 2017 - Training day - Sharing good practice and action planning

Wednesday 26th July 2017 – Training day - Planning for 2017-2018. Teaching and Learning curriculum preparation
