New Communication Aids arrive in school! 26 Jun 2018New Communication Aids arrive in school! The Speech and Language therapy department were thrilled to receive a very exciting delivery last week.  It included all the communication aid equipment they have purchased with money raised from their Ultra Marathon on the Isle of Wight. These devices will support our learners with the most complex communication needs to learn about cause and effect and to communicate their needs and make choices.  Perhaps the most exciting item we received was a brand new Eurostar train that can be operated with a 'Big Mack' switch. This means our learners with physical difficulties are able to operate the train independently.

The East SILC sends a big thank you to everyone who donated to the challenge as the new equipment will make a huge difference to our learners.
