Joke Competition and Makaton Sign of the Week 7.11.1607 Nov 2016Joke Competition and Makaton Sign of the Week 7.11.16This week the sign of the week is 'joke'.

We are busy in school preparing for our joke competition on 18th November. We will be taking part in 'Voice Box', which is an annual national joke competition for schools. The competition is designed to raise awareness of the fun and importance of communication in a light-hearted and inclusive way. It is a joint initiative from the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and The Communication Trust (TCT) and is held concurrently in England, Scotland and Wales. 

We look forwarding to sharing some jokes and other things that make us laugh after the event. Please see our information handout which gives more information about how humour can be used to develop communication and social skills.
