The Carnival of the Animals24 Jul 2017The Carnival of the AnimalsHS3- ‘The Carnival of the Animals’ topic.

This term, HS3 have been learning about a piece of classical musical called ‘The Carnival of the animals’. The piece was written by a French composer called Camille Saint-Saëns in 1886. Saint-Saëns’s piece of music was heavily influenced by the characteristics of many different creatures. HS3 thought this was extremely interesting and so decided to create their own pieces of music influenced by animals. This process first involved choosing our favourite animal and then selecting appropriate instruments to portray the animals. Every pupil in the class created a piece of music that reflected their chosen animal perfectly. Well done HS3!
