Sainsbury's School Games Mark01 Jul 2015Sainsbury's School Games MarkThe Sainsbury's School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012. This award acknowledges schools for their commitment to the development of competitions across their settings and into community.

At the East SILC we have achieved the Gold Mark for our dedication and commitment to students to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular sporting opportunities and competitive inclusive sport.
This year we have had more pupils than ever before participating in a range of competitive sporting activities. We continue to strive to make sport accessible and enjoyable for all. As part of the exciting work going on across the East SILC we have tapped in to the wealth of student talent and have developed opportunities for our young people to be involved as sports reporters leaders, officials and volunteers.

Through Active Schools we continue to work closely with specialist coaches to provide opportunities for our talented students to develop their potential in a range of sporting activities.
