Welcome to our school.
"The East SILC offers exciting learning opportunities for children aged between 3 – 19 with a range of complex learning difficulties. Some of our pupils are on the autistic spectrum, have complex medical needs or who because of their communication difficulties become anxious and struggle to engage. All are our priority, and through outstanding staff and a thirst to deliver innovative and creative learning, we are proud to say we meet the needs of all our young people, helping them to achieve their maximum potential."
Diane Reynard, Executive Principal, East SILC.

JOHN JAMIESON SCHOOL
John Jamieson is an outstanding generic all age Special School for pupils with learning difficulties. We offer a positive, secure and caring environment, where pupils benefit from high quality learning experiences which embrace their individual needs.
& TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE
By working together as a multi-disciplinary team in partnership with pupils, parents/carers, mainstream schools and Children Leeds, the school aims to provide a holistic approach to learning.
We provide a high quality service for all young people with medical needs. This includes children who are admitted to hospital or who, for medical reasons may be unable to return to their own school for a period of time.
We provide continuity of education, to continue the momentum of their learning, with appropriate links to their own school and with any other agencies involved with the child or their family.
The East SILC and Children Leeds operate a city-wide Physical Difficulties & Medical Needs Service which supports pupils who have a physical difficulty or a long-term medical condition, to access mainstream schools.
& MEDICAL SERVICES
The East SILC is recognized as a leading innovator in the use of Assistive Technology to enable students with diverse physical difficulties to access the curriculum.
