John Jamieson is an open and welcoming, generic, all age Special School and National Teaching School which caters for pupils with a learning difficulty

Progress and Achievement

The table below demonstrates attainment for pupils during the 2015-2016 academic year. The data reflects progress within the core and is the result of using the assessment tool BSquared. We follow progression guidance based upon historic data and comparative information from similar settings. We have invested in an IT system that has enabled us to develop a bespoke data dashboard. This is something that we continue to develop.

Destination of Leavers 2015-2016
Out of 13 leavers at the end of the summer term, 11 transistioned to college including Henshaws college in Harrogate, Leeds City College, and Percy Hedley in Newcastle. We also had one pupil who is accessing further support through adult services, and one pupil who moved onto full-time employment.
