Medical Needs Teaching Service

"The quality of teaching, including in the Home and Hospital Teaching Service (now called the Medical Needs Teaching Service), is outstanding so students make excellent progress". - Ofsted 2012

Home Teaching

For those pupils who are unable to attend their mainstream school due to their medical need the Grafton Learning Centre offers small group teaching and individual work as appropriate.  If the child or young person is unable to access the centre owing to their medical need education staff will provide teaching at home.

In liaison with the mainstream school, medical professional and parents, the allocated case manager will consider the appropriate number of hours of teaching per week.  Teaching staff will provide the core subjects of English, maths and science.
